Revised RHS Qualifications

The RHS has updated its qualifications, and the new RHS Level 2 qualification was released in autumn 2022 (see the new RHS Level 2: Principles of Plant Growth & Development).

**This information is for students who are studying on the RHS Level 2 course which they started before 31 March 2022.**

This is normal practice for any awarding organisation and ensures that qualifications remain relevant, accurate and up-to-date.

The RHS are working with employers, training providers and learners to ensure that they continue to offer interesting and relevant qualifications that provide high-quality gardening skills and knowledge, and prepare learners for employment in the current horticultural industry.

We appreciate that some learners may have concerns about the validity of qualifications they have either fully or partially completed. The RHS has confirmed that no learner will be disadvantaged by the introduction of the new qualifications and will be able to achieve the qualification on which they have enrolled.

The last re-sit exam dates for Level 2 Certificate in Plant Growth, Propagation and Development and Level 2 Certificate in Garden Planning, Establishment and Maintenance are in February 2024: https://www.rhs.org.uk/education-learning/pdf/qualifications/useful-links/level-2-structure-and-transition-arrangements.pdf
