To obtain the RHS LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE IN THE PRINCIPLES OF HORTICULTURE
you must first obtain two standalone certificates by passing two exams individually.

Our course offers you the education you require to be ready for your exam.
Prior to taking your exam you must complete 4 mandatory units for each Certificate.
Each unit is available to purchase separately or you can purchase all as a collection.
Certificate in the Principles of Plant Growth, Propagation & Development
Certificate in the Principles of Garden Planning, Establishment and Maintenance
Understanding garden features, plant selection and planning (5 credits)
Understanding the choice, establishmentand maintenance of garden plants and lawns (3 credits)
Understanding the production of outdoor vegetables and fruit (3 credits)
Understanding protected environments andtheir use in plant cultivation (3 credits)
The qualification has a credit value of 14 (140 learning hours). There are 4 mandatory units. Credits for a unit will be awarded to a candidate who achieves a mark of 50% or more in the written examination for that unit. Where a candidate achieves a mark of 70% or more in the examination for the unit, the credits for the unit will be awarded with commendation.
Each unit will be assessed by a separate written examination covering all learning outcomes specified in the unit. Examinations will be offered twice a year in February and June.
